Alia Bhatt shoots at Goregaon station for ‘Gully Boys’

Alia Bhatt was spotted shooting at Goregaon station for ‘Gully Boys’. She was seen sitting at the wooden bench dressed in pale blue kurti with trousers and black sandals.

The shooting took place at night and the production team vacated one of the platforms shoot.

‘Gully Boy’ is inspired by two real-life rappers from Mumbai’s chawls – Rapper Divine aka Vivian Fernandes and Rapper Naezy aka Naved Shaikh. Ranveer Singh will play one of the rappers in the film.

Earlier in an interview, Ranveer Singh described ‘Gully Boy’ as a "great underdog story." He told IANS: "This is a story that means a lot to me. To tell a story of the youth from the streets of Mumbai, who live a very tough existence and have a lot of battle to fight and they in the battle of life they come out and triumph. They find their inspiration through music and art. The music that is socially relevant. So, it was important for me to also give a platform to all this new talent," he said.

Ranveer described ‘Gully Boy’ "one of the closest to me after Band Baaja Baaraat because Band Baaja Baaraat was my first film."

Directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akthar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment, the film will hit the screens on February 14, next year.
