As ‘Bigg Boss 10’ ends, check out what other winners are doing

The tenth season of the controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ is ending with the finale episode to be aired on Sunday night (Jan 29). For the first time ‘Bigg Boss 10’ opened its doors to commoners, and two of them – Manu Punjabi and Manveer Gujjar, have made it to the finals, along with celebrity contestants Bani Judge and Lopamudra Raut. One of three will become the winner and will take away the trophy and prize money. ‘Bigg Boss 10’ has turned commoners into celebrities and an impetus to celebrities. It is to be seen how the three-month-stint in ‘Bigg Boss 10’ transforms the life of the winner. In the meantime, let us take a look at what the other winners of the show’s previous seasons are doing now.

Prince Narula (Season 9 winner): Prince had already won MTV reality shows ‘Roadies X2’ and ‘Splitsvilla 8’. After winning ‘Bigg Boss 9’, he participated in ‘Roadies X4’ as a Gangleader, alongside Neha Dhupia, Rannvijay Singh and Karan Kundra. He has now taken to acting and is currently seen in &TV series ‘Bado Bahu’.

Gautam Gulati (Season 8 winner): Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Gautam was seen in popular shows like ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Kasamh Se’. After winning the show, the handsome hunk hosted MTV show ‘Big F’ and appeared as a celebrity guest on ‘India’s Next Top Model’ and played the role of former cricketer Ravi Shastri in Emraan Hashmi-starrer ‘Azhar’, biopic on fromer cricket skipper Mohammad Azharuddin.

Gauhar Khan (Season 7 winner): Gauhar was already a model and had also done brief roles in movies and appeared in a few item songs, and was a finalist in celebrity dance show ‘Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa’. Post ‘Bigg Boss’ win, she contested reality show ‘Khatron ke Khiladi’. She played the lead role in 2016 film ‘Fever’ and will be seen in a pivotal role in upcoming film ‘Begum Jaan’ starring Vidya Balan.

Urvashi Dholakia (Season 6 winner): Urvashi featured in several television serials and became popular as Kamolika Basu, her character in Star Plus show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. After winning ‘Bigg Boss’ she starred in comedy series ‘Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai’ that aired on SAB TV. She hasn’t been seen on TV for a long time.

Juhi Parmar Shroff (Season 5 winner): Juhi is currently seen in mythological series ‘Shani’ on Colors TV. She has been a popular name in television industry and gained fame as Kumkum for her role in the eponymous series on Star Plus, even before winning ‘Bigg Boss’. She had also pariticipated in reality shows and appeared as celebrity guest and hosted several shows.

Shweta Tiwari (Season 4 winner): Shweta, post winning ‘Bigg Boss’, tied the knot with Abhinav Kohli. It is her second marriage. The couple welcomed a baby boy in November last year, and is currently taking care of her son Reyansh. She was already a popular face on TV starring in the Star Plus soap ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ before participating in the show. After she came out a winner, she played prominent roles in ‘Parvarish’ and ‘Begusarai’.

Vindu Dara Singh (Season 3 winner): Vindu is best known for being the son of wrestler-turned-actor late Dara Singh. He had made brief appearances in a few films before entering Bigg Boss house, and even after emerging the winner, nothing much changed for him. He continued with doing small roles in films like ‘Housefull 2’, ‘Joker’, ‘Son of Sardaar’ and ‘Himmatwala’. He also appeared in a few reality shows, and made news for all the wrong reasons after being arrested for alleged links with bookies in the 2013 spot-fixing scandal.

Ashutosh Kaushik (Season 2 winner): Ashutosh was popular for winning MTV stunt reality show ‘Raodies 5’ before he entered Bigg Boss house. After winning ‘Bigg Boss’, he tried for a career in showbiz and has appeared in small roles in films like ‘Zila Ghaziaba’, ‘Kismat Love Paisa Dilli’, ‘Shortcut Romeo’ and ‘Laal Rang’.

Rahul Roy (Season 1 winner): Rahul Roy is still best known for his debut film, the 1990 blockbuster ‘Ashiqui’. However, his subsequent films failed to do well. And nothing much changed for the actor post winning the inaugural season of ‘Bigg Boss’. He ventured into production and his company, Rahul Roy productions and produced a Bhojpuri film, ‘Elaan’, starring himself with Manoj Tiwari and others in 2011. He also starred in a film, ‘2B or not to B’.
