‘Baahubali 2’ trailer breaks record, gets 50 mn views in 24 hrs

The trailer of desperately-awaited movie ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ was launched yesterday (March 16) and has already set the record of most viewed Indian film trailer within 24 hours, in all the languages it released.

The trailer of the multilingual was released in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malyalam, and went viral immediately. Karan Johar, who is presenting the epic drama in Hindi, shared the news on Twitter this morning.

“Truly the biggest trailer ever! 50 million views! #Baahubali2trailer #BB2Storm @ssrajamouli @Shobu_  @DharmaMovies @RanaDaggubati,” the Dharma Productions chief tweeted.

In another tweet, he wrote, “HISTORIC!!!! The craze of #Baahubali2trailer.” Along with the tweets Karan also posted a picture which announced, ‘Baahubali: The conclusion’, the most viewed trailer in 24 hours. 50 Million views’.

The second part of 2015 blockbuster ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ was originally supposed to release last year, but was delayed. Director S.S. Rajamouli had promised that the second part would be bigger and grander in every aspect, and that’s why the delay. And sure enough, the larger-than-life visuals of ‘Baahubali 2’ are a notch higher that than of its predecessor.

The epic drama stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nasser among others.

‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, which bagged the National Award among many other awards, had concluded leaving audience with a gnawing question as to why Kattapa killed Baahubali, the answer to which will be finally revealed on April 28 when the film releases.
